State Bank Probationary Officers Examination : Eligibility
Educational qualifications: Degree from a recognized
University or any equivalent examination recognized as such by the Government
of India.
In addition to above, Proficiency in computer and certificate of having
completed training from a reputed institute is also essential.
Age limit: A candidate for this examination should have attained
the age of 2 1 years and must not have attained the age of 28 years on
the 1st January of the year of examination. The age is relaxable for Scheduled
Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, etc.
Relaxation in Upper Age limit
1) SC/ST candidates by 5 years
2) OBC candidates by 3 years
3) Ex-servicemen, Commissioned officers, including those ECOs/SSOs
who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released
on completion of assignment .
4) All officers of regional Rural Banks who have put in a minimum continuous
service of 5 years
5) Persons domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the a
particular period as in the advertisement
6) Orthopaedically /Visually handicapped candidates

Relaxation in upper age limit available to SC/ST/OBC candidates is allowed
on cumulative basis with only one of the remaining categories for
which age relaxation is permitted as mentioned above. Candidates seeking
age relaxation are required to submit copies of necessary certificates
along with the application .
Number of Chances: No candidate is permitted to compete
more than three times at the examination. This restriction will not apply
in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC communities provided
that they are otherwise eligible. |
