Plan of the Examination:

There are two stages, namely a Written Test and an Interview. The written test is divided into two (a) Objective test (200 marks) (b) Descriptive paper (60 marks).The subjects of written test the time allowed and the maximum marks allowed to each subject shall be as under:

(b) Descriptive Paper      
Argumentative Questions 4 60 45 min.

Group Discussion and Interview: Qualified candidates in written examination will be called for group discussion and interview depending upon the vacancies in each category subject to maximum of three times the number of vacancies.

How to Apply

The candidates are required to apply online through website www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in. No other means/mode of application will be accepted. Candidates are required to go to any Branch of State Bank of India and pay the amount of prescribed fees and postage and get receipt from the branch. The receipt should be retained and produced at the time of written test.

Note:
  The candidate has to pass each of the Objective and Descriptive Tests separately.
  However, the tests of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness is considered for merit listing. The other tests of English Language and Descriptive questions will be qualifying.
  Final selection is on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidate inthe written tests and interview and shall be strictly according to merit.
