Stenographers Service Examination Introduction Eligibility Examination Syllabus

The examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade 'C' and Stenographer Grade 'D' in different Ministries / Departments of Government of India and their Attached & Subordinate Offices.

GRADE 'D' STENOGRAPHERS posts are expected to be located in the following areas/offices/Services:

Group X
A. Armed Forces Headquarters' Stenographers Service Grade D.
B. Central Secretariat Stenographers Service Grade D.
C. Central Vigilance Commission
D. Election Commission of India Stenographers Grade D.
E. Indian Foreign Service (B) Grade III.
F. Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs
G. Railway Board Secretariat Stenographer Service, Grade D.
H. Directorate of Forensic Science.
I. Any other Department/Office not mentioned above.

Group Y
Subordinate Offices of Govt. of India located all over India, Offices of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Accountant General (Audit), Accounts General (Accounts & Estt.), Controller General of Defence Accounts & Any other offices/Organization not mentioned above.

C. Election Commission of India
D. Central Vigilance Commission
E. President’s Secretariat
F. Posts of Stenographers in Government Departments/Organizations and Attached Offices of the Govt. of India other than the above.
