i) Candidates seeking admission to the Test must apply in the prescribed Application Form in DUPLICATE which will be given in the Notification. Application Form may be neatly typed or photocopied on white paper (A-4 size) on one side of the paper only. The application not in the prescribed format will be rejected. Request for Application Form to UGC will not be entertained.

ii) The Candidates should fill the Application Form legibly and carefully, in their own handwriting with ballpoint pen.
Two Copies of the Application form along with Admission Card, Attendance slip and Demand Draft should be sent to the Registrar of the University from where the candidate has opted to appear for the test. Applications addressed to UGC office will not be entertained .
The envelope containing the Application Form should be superscribed "UGC NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR LECTURESHIP, 'Month', 'Year'"

iii) The candidates must affix their recent passport size photographs from the same negative at the places indicated in the Application Form and must sign across the photograph after it is affixed so that a part of the signature spreads over the Application Form beyond the photograph. Besides, it should be duly attested by the Head of the University Department/Principal of the College/Class-I Gazetted Officer.

iv) Candidates who have appeared and are awaiting their result or shall be appearing in the final year of Master’s degree examination should fill up the Attestation Form given at the bottom of the Application Form and get it attested by the Head of the Institution. They should also mention the University Name to which the College/Institute is affiliated.
