Eligibility
The minimum academic qualification for appearing in AIEEE is that the
candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or
its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination from a recognized
Board/ University with 50% marks for general category candidates and 40%
marks for SC/ST/OBC/PH category candidates. Those appearing in 10+2 (Class
XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear in AIEEE provisionally. Admission
to AIEEE is meant for Indian nationals only.
Age Limit : Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on
or after October 01, 1987 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled
Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates,
upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who
were born on or after October 01, 1982 are eligible. Date of birth as
recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate only
will be taken as authentic.
Selection : On the basis of performance in AIEEE, separate rank
lists will be prepared for B.E./B.Tech., and B.Arch/ B.Planning.
Admission Procedure
Application can be made ‘Online’ only both for offline examination
and online examination.

Online submission of application:
The online submission of particular may be made at website www.aieee.nic.in.
The candidates should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. On submission of details, a Confirmation page with
Registration No. shall be generated. Candidates are required to take printout
of Confirmation page and paste photographs, put left hand thumb impression
and Sign in the space earmarked for the purpose. The confirmation Page is to be sent by Registered/Speed Post to CBSE and payment can be made
as follows:
(a) by credit card, or
(b) Demand Draft from any scheduled commercial bank, or
Candidates submitting applications ‘Online’ are required to retain a
photocopy of Confirmation Page with Registration No. and Copy of mode
of remittance of Examination fee:
In addition to Examination Fee, Service/Processing Charges
will have to be paid by the candidates.
Examination :
AIEEE pen and paper (offline examination) will be conducted on
29.04.2012
Paper 1- Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics from 9.30-12.30
Paper 2- Mathematics Part I, Aptitude test & drawing test from
2.00-5.00 pm
Online examination for B.E./B.Tech only on 7-26 May 2012

1st shift 9.00-12.00 noon
2nd shift 2.00-5.00 pm
CONDUCT OF ONLINE EXAMINATION :
As per the orders of the Min. of Human Resource Development, Govt. of
India, the online examination would be conducted in BE/B.Tech only in 22
specified cities. No offline examination for B.E./B.Tech will be conducted
in these cities except 2 nd paper i.e. B.Arch/B.Planning.
All information & instructions for submitting of application for
appearing in online examination are available on AIEEE website www.aieee.nic.in
The pattern of question paper & time duration of online examination
and offline examination would remain the same and the candidates will be
informed by various modes about their center and shift of online
examination to be conducted between 7th May to 26 th May, 2012.
