A combined competitive examination will be held by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to the Services/posts of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
 

 Date of Notification

: 10th March, 2012
 Last Date for Receipt of Applications : 9th April, 2012
 Date of Examination : 15th June, 2012 (3 days)
 

Eligibility 

(a) Age Limits : The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st August, 2012 i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1982 and not later than 1st August, 1991. The Upper age limit is relaxable for candidates belonging to scheduled castes/scheduled tribes/ other backward classes and certain other categories.

(b) Educational Qualification : The candidate must hold a degree in Engineering or equivalent. M.Sc. degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject also acceptable for certain posts. A candidate who intends to appear at such a qualifying examination may also apply. Such candidates will be admitted to the examination, if otherwise eligible, but their admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation, if they do not produce proof of having passed the requisite qualifying examination alongwith the detailed applications which will be required to be submitted by the candidates who qualify on the result of written part of the examination.

How to Apply :

Candidates  are required to apply online through the UPSC website www.upsconline.nic.in. Detail instructions for filling online are mentioned in the website. 

Fee

Candidates are required to remit the fees either in any branches of SBI by cash or by net banking facility of SBI/State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

SC/ ST/ Female/ PH candidates are exempted from the payment of Application Fee.
