Eligibility criteria:

In order to be eligible for the B.Tech Program, students must have passed in PCMB / PCMC / PCME in PUC or ISC / CBSE or equivalent board. Only candidates who have achieved 60% and above PUC/SYJC/12th or equivalent exam are eligible to apply for B.Tech Program. In case of SC/ST, eligibility will be relaxed to the extent of 5%. However the final selection will be based on merit only. IB students should get 30 credits to qualify for the course. Provisional admission will be given on predicted scores. However, the actual score should be as per eligibility standards of the University. Students who failed to get the required credits his / her admission stands to be cancelled. Cambridge students must study 2 or 3 subjects at advanced level.

Candidates who have completed 12th or equivalent exams or final year students of class XII or its equivalent, awaiting examination results may also apply.

Applicants should have completed 12 years of formal schooling in order to apply for the program. Admission will be offered based on scores secured in JET 2022

If an applicant is found ineligible for whatever reasons even after admission into the program, his/her admission will be cancelled. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates / documents of the students. The decision of the Admissions Committee regarding eligibility of any applicant shall be final.

Note: Candidates scoring below 60% in 10+2 or equivalent exams may not be eligible for completion of Admission through JET.

Applying for the Program

Application forms will be available at the respective constituent units from 18th November 2022, between 10.00 hours and 17.00 hours. Forms are also available on www.jainuniversity.ac.in. Completed application form will be accepted from 18th November 2022, Wednesday onwards. Last date and hour of receipt for completed application forms is 15th April 2017, Saturday. It is essential that you have a valid email address if you are applying for the program.

Applicants are responsible for submitting completed applications. If we receive an incomplete application, it will be scrutinized on the basis of the information provided.

Selection Process:

Once your application has been reviewed, the Admissions Office will conduct the Jain Entrance Test according to the schedule.

The written test will consist of 4 sections (total 120 marks).

• Section 1: English - 30 marks.
• Section 2: Physics - 30 marks.
• Section 3: Chemistry - 30 marks.
• Section 4: Mathematics - 30 marks.

Counseling Process (Allotment of Branch)
The allotment of branch of engineering is based on the candidate's performance in JET 2022 and the preferences indicated in the application form. Applicants will be intimated about the branch allotted to them through selection letters via e-mail. The decision of the Admissions Committee in allotting the branch to the candidates will be final.

Final Decision
On completion of the counseling process the admission committee will review your application along with the branch opted in the counseling process and a provisional admission offer letter will be issued to all successful candidates.

Scholarship

• Phase I : Jain University offers scholarship to meritorious top rank holders who fulfill the criteria decided by the admission committee.
• Phase II :The scholarship will be a tuition fee waiver on a percentage basis of 12 / PUC or any equivalent and will not cover living cost. If the student loses interest in academic work and performs below par or fails to put in requisite attendance, he /she will forfeit the scholarship from that year. The scholarship has to be renewed each year. The renewal is subject to his / her fulfilling the criteria mentioned above.

• % means total aggregate and not best of any subjects in whatsoever manner.
• Students should submit a photocopy of their marks card.
