Applications are invited for admission to Post Graduate Courses: Mahire Tib MD (Unani) / Mahire Jarahat MS(Unani) for the session 2021-17 in Moalajat, Ilmul Advia, Tahaffuzi Wa Samaji Tib, Ilmul Saidla, Kulliyat, Ilmul Qabala wa Amraze Niswan , Ilaj-bit-Tadbeer and Jarahat (Subject to grant of permission from Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India)
Courses offered :
(1) Moalajat (Medicine) - (8 seats)
(2) Ilmul Advia (Pharmacology) - (8 seats)
(3) Tahaffuzi wa Samaji Tib (PSM) - (7 seats)
(4) Niswan wa Qabalat (OBG) - (7 seats)
(5) Ilmul Saidla (Unani Pharmacy) - (4 seats)
(6) Kulliyat Umoore Tabiya(Basic Principles) - (4 seats)
(7) Ilaj-bit-Tadbeer (Regimenal Therapy) - (5 seats)

(8) Jarahat (Surgery) - (4 seats)
Duration of the Course: 3 years
Minimum Qualification:
A Candidate must have obtained the Kamile Tib o Jarahat (BUMS) degree or any other degree in Unani Medicine as recognized by CCIM and must have completed 06 months/12 months internship/house job as the case may be, on or before 9 th September 2021 i.e. the last date for applying for MD (Unani) through Online. The right of admission of any candidate, who has not completed the internship by 9 th September 2021, stands automatically cancelled and no further correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
Selection
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) conducted by the Institute.
Entrance Test will be conducted at National Institute of Unani Medicine, Bangalore. The Test will be held on Sunday, the 25th September 2021. The candidates are directed to report to the exam centre at 10:00 AM but not later than 10:30 AM. The schedule of the test is 11:00 AM to 12:40 PM. The medium of examination will be in English only. The candidates should mark their choice of answer in Black / Blue Ball Pen only.
Admission Procedure:
(i) All the application forms are scrutinized by Admission Committee
(ii) Candidates shall be admitted on the basis of merit, subject to availability
of seats.
(iii) In case more than one candidate securing equal marks in the Entrance Test
then the following criteria will be followed to decide seniority amongst them:
1. Number of attempts taken by the candidate in UG examination (Ascending order)
2. If it is also same then the total percentage secured by the candidate in
final Prof/V & IV year (Descending order)
3. If it is also same then the total percentage secured by the candidate in
II Prof/III year then I Prof/I year (Descending order)
(iv) The vacancies arising out of non-joining of the candidate shall be filled
on the basis of merit/waiting list within the stipulated date. Such candidates
should join the Institute by the stipulated date only as mentioned in schedule
of admission.
