Kerala Law Entrance Examination : Examination
Pattern of Exam - Kerala Law Entrance Examination is usually
conducted on the date and time as notified by the Commissioner for Entrance
Examinations. The Examination usually consists of objective type questions
and the time duration for the same is usually notified in the call
letters sent to candidates. The candidates have to mark their responses
in the OMR Answer sheet given to them using ball point pens or HB
pencils.
Syllabus for LLB Entrance examination consists of objective type questions
in General knowledge, English and Aptitude for Legal Studies. For LLM
entrance, the questions are of the standard of LLB Examination with questions
in Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Law of Crimes, Law of Contracts,
Public International Law, Administrative Law, Law of property, Company
Law, Interpretation of statues, Law of Torts etc.
Valuation - For LLB Entrance examination, each answer with correct
response fetches positive marks for the candidates while marks are deducted
for incorrect response. More than one answer indicated against a question
is deemed as incorrect response and is negatively marked. However, in
the event of failure to answer a question ie. no response indicated against
an item in the answer sheet, no deduction from the total score is made.
Publication of results - The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations
will prepare and publish the rank list of candidates whose selection is
based purely on merit as assessed in the entrance examination.
Centralised Allotment Process - Allotment of seats will be based
on rank, eligible reservation and options registered by the candidate
and subject to availability of seats. It is obligatory for the candidates
to report to the college to which he/she is allotted. No extension of
time for reporting to the college is granted under any circumstances.
