Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common
Entrance Test (EAMCET) : Admission Details
The admission is based on merit list, prepared on the basis of marks
obtained in EMACET.
The qualified candidates of EAMCET examination (Engineering & B.Pharmacy
- MPC stream) of AU/OU/SVU/NL areas are informed to attend the counselling
for admission into Ist year Engineering and B.Pharmacy (MPC stream) courses
as per the schedules given below.
The certificates that must be produced during the counselling
is as follows.
- EAMCET Rank card or Hall ticket
- Intermediate Pass cum Memorandum of Marks
- Certificate indicating Date of Birth (SSC or its equivalent).
- Study Certificates from 6th class to Intermediate
- Residence Certificate for preceding 7 years of the qualifying examination
i.e. Intermediate or its equivalent in respect of candidates who have
private study without any institutionalized education.

Integrated Community certificate issued by the competent authority and
Father’s Caste Certificate in case of BC/SC/ST candidates.
- Residence certificate of father or mother for a period of 10 years
in A.P. excluding the period of their employment outside A.P. from M.R.O.
in case of Non local candidates.
- Three sets of Xerox copies of all certificates and four recent passport
size photographs.
- Physically Handicapped Candidates should bring the PH certificate
issued by the District Medical Board.
- Candidates belonging to “CAP” category should bring the
latest CAP certificate issued by the Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer and
Discharge book for verification. Children of In-Service Personnel shall
bring the Service Certificate of their parent from the concerned unit
& Identity card for verification.
- Candidates claiming reservation under “NCC” & “SPORTS”
categories should bring the original certificates of concerned discipline.
Allotments will be made as per merit in a sequence. If the options given
by the candidates are not available at the time of allotment, they have
to exercise options afresh. Once allotment is made, they are called to
the Allotment counter. Candidates shall verify the allotment order for
the correctness of the seat allotted and sign on the allotment order.
After the confirmation of admission the student must remit the fee in
the form of Demand Draft /Pay order drawn in favour of Convener, EAMCET
Admissions, payable at Hyderabad or in cash at the bank counters available
in all venues. Fee shall be paid in full at the time of counselling and
no part payment will be accepted.
Those minority community candidates who have obtained a seat in minority
institutions under counselling conducted by "Convenor, EAMCET-AC"
are permitted to attend the counselling conducted by Convenor, EAMCET
admissions under rule 6(i) (c)of G.O. Ms. No. 54, Higher Education department.
They must produce provisional allotment order issued by the Convenor,
EAMCET-AC along with one set of Xerox copies of all original certificates
in proof of their admission into a minority college. In case of accepting
admission in any institute after counselling conducted by CONVENOR, EAMCET,
such candidates shall forego his/her seat in already allotted minority
institute with immediate effect and candidate has to submit an undertaking
to that effect.
Seats
Free Seats
All seats in Govt./University colleges and 50% seats in the Private Colleges.
Payment Seats
50 % of seats in private engineering colleges which include NRI candidates
also.
Reservation
The following percentage of seats in each course in each institute are
reserved in Un-aided Professional Non-Minority Institutions in Category
A seats for the following categories
- SC : 15%
- ST : 6%
- BC : 25% (Othe Backward Class)
If qualified candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes
communities are not available, the left over seats shall be filled by
the candidates of General pool.
Reservation for Special Categories
Seats shall be reserved in each course of an institution, for the following
categories, to the extent indicated against them.
Physically Handicapped - PH : 3% horizontal reservation in each category
(OC,BC,SC,ST) for Visually handicapped/Hearing Impaired/Orthopaedically
Handicapped (each 1%).
Children of Armed Forces Personnel - CAP : 2% for the children of armed
persons i.e. Ex-Servicemen, Defence personnel including the children of
Border Security Force and the Central Reserve Police Force residing in
Andhra Pradesh for a minimum period of 5 years.
National Cadet Corps - NCC : 1% for National Cadet Corps candidates.
Sports & Games - SP : 1/2% (half percent) for Sports and Games candidates.
If qualified candidates belonging to NCC/SP/CAP categories are not available,
the left over seats shall be filled up with the candidates of General
pool. The left over PH seats shall be adjusted to their respective categories
(OC/BC/SC/ST).
For women
Reservation of seats for Women : There shall be reservation of 33. 1/3%
of seats in favour of women candidates in each course and in each category
(OC/SC/ST/BC/CAP/NCC/SP/PH). This reservation shall not be applicable
if women candidates are selected on merit in each category even if it
exceeds 33.1/3%. If sufficient number of women candidates are not available
in the respective categories, those seats shall be diverted to the men
candidates of the same category.
