University of Delhi- Combined Entrance Examination (DUCEE)
: Admission Procedure
The admission procedure for the B.E courses will be done on the basis
of merit obtained in CEE for the candidates belonging to the Delhi region.
For the candidates who were from outside the Delhi region, the admission
procedure will be done on the basis of the AIEEE conducted by the CBSE.
As per the CEE schedule, all the candidates belonging to Outside Delhi
Region (Outside National Capital Territory of Delhi) are advised to appear
in AIEEE. These procedures will be done at Delhi College of Engineering
(DCE) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT).
Candidates will not be selected right after the CEE result had announced.
For the admission to CEE, applicants should submit a separate application
form that will be obtain from the Delhi College of Engineering. In case,
if two candidates had secured same marks at the CEE/AIEEE, both will be
given equal weightage at the time of admission. In the event of marks
of PCM being equal, the candidate born earlier will be given preference.
The applicants who stand out in merit list of CEE will be eligible to
take admission.
Seat Reservation:
85% of the seats were reserved for the candidates who had passed the
qualifying examination from the recognized Institutions located within
the National Capital Territory of Delhi and the seat allotment will be
done according to the CEE. On the other hand, 15% seats is reserved for
the Outside Delhi Region candidates and the admission will be done on
the basis of All India Merit Rank of AIEEE, conducted by the C.B.S.E.
Candidates can either choose Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) New Delhi,
or Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology (NSIT) New Delhi.
The seats reserved for different categories ie, OBC/SC/ST & PH etc
and the total number of seats in each course will be known only after
the relevant sanctions are received from MHRD by the University of Delhi.
The documents in evidence of the OBC status if implemented would be required
from the students at the time of granting admission.
The seat allotted for each categories are mentioned below:

Scheduled Castes: 15% of the total seats
in each institution.

Scheduled Tribes: 7.5% of the total seats
in each institution.

5% of the total seats in each institution
is reserved for the children/widows of personnel of Armed/Paramilitary
Forces killed/disabled in action during the hostilities.

3% of the total seats is reserved for
the physically handicapped students.
Nominees of the Government of India
(a) One seat over and above the normal total intake in both the Institutions
taken together for Wards/Children of India based staff posted at Indian
Missions abroad provided they have passed their qualifying examination
from outside India. Nominations against this seat will be made by the
Ministry of External Affairs, G.O.I., New Delhi. Any person who is sponsored
by the Govt. of India on an assignment abroad will be treated to be the
staff posted in Indian Mission abroad.
(b) Six; seats in Delhi College of Engineering (Electrical-1, Electronics
and Communication- 1, Mechanical-1, Civil-1 Production-1 Computer-1) and
three seats in Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (Electronics and
Communication-1, Computer Engineering-1 and Instrumentation and
Control Engineering-1) over and above the normal intake for candidates
from friendly and developing countries. Nominations against these seats
will be made by the Government of India.
In case, if sufficient number of eligible candidates are not available
for the above said categories, the vacancies will be treated as unreserved
in the respective Region. The candidates who falls under any of these
categories should submit the proof for claiming the seats.
Applicants under SC/ST/CW/PH reserved categories will be required to
produce the original certificate of the respective reserved category issued
by the competent authority stating the Scheduled Caste/Tribe, to which
the candidate belongs at the time of counseling.
Documents Required at the time of Counseling:

The Admit Card of CEE.

The original and the attested copy of
the mark sheet of the qualifying examination.

The original and attested copies of certificate
and mark sheet of High School or equivalent examination.

The original certificate and attested
copy for the reserved category, if other than the General Category.

Medical fitness certificate in case of
General/SC/ST/CW.
-
Medical certificate of physical disability,
in original, issued by the duly notified Medical Board of a District/
Government Hospital. The certificate should indicate the extent of
the physical handicap and it should bear the photograph of the candidate
concerned and it should be countersigned by one of the Doctors constituting
the Board issuing the certificate.
The list of the applicants will be published on the notice board and no
letters calling the candidates for admission will be issued. The candidates
are required to present themselves as per the schedule. Only those candidates
who have submitted the application for admission in the prescribed form
in time and have the rank as specified, will be considered for the admission.
The candidates who seek admission as nominees of the Government of India
need not submit the abovementioned application. Their application must
be forwarded through the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
Only one chance for counseling will be given to the candidates. The
candidates will be called one by one according to their rank in CEE from
amongst those present at the time and date as specified. At the time of
the counseling, the candidates should submit the documents and after verification,
the original and Xerox copies will be retained by the Chairman, Admission
Committee and an Admission Slip will be issued.
