Admission Brochure and Registration form can be obtained at the sale counters of all Govt./Govt. Aided/University Departments/Private Institutes offering B.E./ B.Tech. programme and also in the camp office of Haryana State Counselling Society/Directorate of Technical Education, Haryana, SCO 38-39, Sector 17A, Chandigarh. The form can also be download from the prescribed website. The admission Brochure and Registration form for the admission to Engineering courses are only for that particular academic year. Its contents are subject to change without prior notice. 

The candidate also need to deposit a pre-requisite registration fee for counselling through cash/cheque/draft/cash transfer in the account of Haryana State Counselling Society in any of the Centralized Banking Solution (CBS) branch of Punjab National Bank on the prescribed format which is available in the Admission Brochure. Candidates are advised in their own interest to deposit counselling participation fee before the Registration and to check display of their feedeposited entry on counselling website. In case, fee entry is not displayed on thecounselling website the concerned PNB Branch may be contacted immediately.

Reservation of Seats

For Govt. / Govt. Aided Institutions / University Departments

(a) All India Category Seats = 15% of intake
(b) State Quota = 85% of intake

  • Haryana Open (General) = 50% of State Quota i.e. 42.5% of intake
  • Reserved Categories of Haryana= 50% of State Quota i.e. 42.5% of intake
Scheduled Castes (Category-A) 10% of State Quota (8.5% of intake)
Scheduled Castes (Category-B) 10% of State Quota (8.5% of intake)
Backward Classes of Haryana (A) 16% of State Quota (13.6% of intake)
Backward Classes of Haryana (B) 11% of State Quota (9.3% of intake)
Physically Handicapped 3% of State Quota (2.55% of intake)
ESM & their wards 3% Horizontal (1% each out of Haryana Open)

3% horizontal reservation is provided to Ex.Serviceman / Freedom Fighters and their dependents by providing reservation within reservation of 1% of General Category, 1% out of Scheduled Castes and 1% from Backward Classes for admissions to various educational institutions of Government and Government Aided. This reservation will be in rotation for Block ‘A’ and Block ‘B’. 25% horizontal reservation in all above categories shall be provided for girl candidates.

For private unaided non-minority institutions

No reservation is being followed in compliance to the judgment of Honourable Supreme Court except that not exceeding upto 5% for NRI seats at the discretion of the management subject to following two conditions:

a) Such seats should be utilized bonafide by the NRIs and their children or wards.
b) The merit should not be given a complete go-by. and balance 85% All India Category.

A few private institutes may voluntarily opt for reservation of a few percentage of seats in their institution for socially and educationally backward classes of citizens of Haryana.

For private unaided Minority institutions

The private institutions are free to admit students of their choice on minority community as also members of their own community from other State, both to a limited extent only and not in a manner and to such an extent that their minority educational institution status is lost.

  • NRI seats not exceeding upto 15%
  • Minority Quota - 42.5% of sanctioned intake fixed by the State Govt.
  • All India Category- 42.5%

Candidates claiming reservation under Scheduled Caste  and Backward Class should submit the certificate as per the rule of Board. The parents of the candidate who belongs to the Backward Classes should submit an affidavit at the time of counseling for the benefit of reservation and to prove that they are not covered under the criteria of creamy layer. The said affidavit shall be furnished by both father and mother of the candidate.

If the number of seats in any particular category is not a round figure, except that in Physically Handicapped, Children & Grand-children of Freedom Fighters and Ex-Servicemen and their Wards Categories, at least one candidate will be admitted from all the three categories in total.

Domicile: 80% of seats is reserved for the candidates who are passing from the affiliates schools/colleges located in Haryana and 20% seats for Haryana domicile irrespective of the location of institute from where the candidate has passed qualifying examination. And those candidates who belongs from outside Haryana will only be eligible for the payment seats.
