Graduate Courses

Engineering /Technology
Educational Qualification:
Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE or equivalent, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects : Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology. Should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
Age Limit : There is no age limit to appear for admission into Engineering & Technology courses

Pharmacy
Educational Qualification :
Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects : Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology. Should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
Age Limit : There is no age limit to appear for admission into Pharmacy courses.

Architecture
Educational Qualification:
Pass or appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as
compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects Chemistry / Engineering Drawing / Computer Science / Biology. Should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.

All the aforesaid admission to B.Arch. degree course are to be subject to passing NATA conducted by the council of architecture and the minimum passing score for NATA is 80 out of 200 for all categories of candidates. NATA shall be a prerequisite for admission into B.Arch course, but the ranking shall be on the basis of JEE ranking and admission to the course is based on the JEE rank.

Medical (MBBS /BDS)
Educational Qualification:
Pass in 10+2 or appearing  examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Botany and Zoology) with at least 50% marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) for general category candidates and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ ST candidates. For candidates seeking admission through JEE to Govt. and Private Colleges the candidate must be a permanent native of Orissa. They are to submit the Permanent nativity Certificate at the time of counselling.

Age Limit : The lower age shall be 17 years as on December 31 in  the year of admission.  The upper age shall be 25 years as on December 31. The upper age limit may be relaxed by three years for SC/ST candidates.

In case of the admission through the competitive examination, a candidate must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and must have obtained a minimum of 50% mark taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the competitive examination. In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ ST or other back ward class, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination and in the competitive entrance examination be 40% instead of 50% as stated above.

2nd yr Degree Courses in Engineering, Pharmacy courses under Lateral Entry

Diploma Holders
Educational Qualification:
Pass in 3 years diploma course in Engineering with at least 50% ( 45% in case of candidate belong to SC / ST category) marks in aggregate from State Council of Technical Education and Training (SCTE&VT), Orissa or equivalent and for Pharmacy, pass in 2 years diploma course in Pharmacy with minimum 50% ( 45% in case of candidate belong to SC / ST category) of marks in aggregate from Orissa State Board of Pharmacy (OSBP) or SCTE&VT for direct admission to the third semester degree courses. The candidate must be a native of Orissa. Results of final diploma examination must be available on the date of counselling. Candidates, whose results are not available on the day of counselling, will not be allowed to participate in the counselling. There is no reservation of seats in various categories in lateral entry to degree engineering/Technology, pharmacy courses.

They are to submit the Permanent Resident Certificate  at the time of counselling.

B.Sc. or +3 Science students
Educational Qualification :
Pass or appearing in the Bachelor's Degree examination of three years duration in Science from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognised by UGC and have passed with a minimum of 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST category) marks in aggregate and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.

Further even though the student in this stream are admitted to second year course, they shall clear the subjects of Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of first year engineering program along with second year subjects.

They are to submit the Permanent Resident Certificate  at the time of counselling.

Post Graduate Courses

M.C.A
Educational Qualification: Pass or appearing  for the Bachelor's Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognised by UGC and having passed in Mathematics at 10+2 level. Business mathematics at +2 level are not permitted. Should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) at the qualifying examination.

M.B.A/ PGDM
Educational Qualification: Pass or appearing for the Bachelor's Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognised by UGC. Should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) at the qualifying examination.

PGCM
Educational Qualification: Pass or appearing for the Bachelor's Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognised by UGC.

PGDM (Executive)
Educational Qualification: Pass or appearing for the Bachelor's Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognised by UGC and 5 years relevant managerial / supervisory experience. Should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) at the qualifying examination.

There is no age limit for admission to MCA/ MBA / PGDM / PGCM / PGDM (Executive) course.
