Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test (RPET) : Eligibility
Educational Qualification
The minimum academic qualification for admission through RPETEAP is a
pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary
Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto
by Universities in Rajasthan.
Bachelor of Engineering
The candidates who have passed 10+2 with physics and Mathematics as the
compulsory subjects and any of chemistry, Bio-Technology, computer Science
and Biology as the optional subjects can apply for B.E courses.
Bachelor of Architecture
A pass in 10+2 with mathematics as the main subjects and any of chemistry,
computer Science, Biology, Engineering Drawing, physics or any other subject
with not less than 55% marks in aggregate is a must for applying B.Arch
course.
Bachelor of Pharmacy /Diploma in Pharmacy
Candidates who have passed 10+2 with physics and Chemistry as the main
subjects along with any of Mathematics, Bio-Technology, Computer Science
and Biology as the optional subjects can apply for B.Pharm / D. Pharmacy
courses.
Candidates who are appearing at the Qualifying Examination (Main) will
be provisionally permitted to appear in Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test for
Engineering, Architecture & Pharmacy. Such candidates will be eligible,
provided if they pass in the main Examination. Candidates who get supplementary
in the main Examination will not be eligible for admission through RPETEAP
in the year even if they have appeared and passed in the supplementary
Examination before the last date of admission.
Age Limit
Candidate's age should not be less than 16 years and more than 23 years
on 1st October of the year of RPETEAP examination. Upper age limit is
relaxable by 3 years in case of SC / ST category candidates.
Medical Fitness
A candidate desirous of admission to Engineering / Architecture / Pharmacy
Colleges will have to deposit the Medical Fitness Certificate at the time
of reporting in the allotted institution on the prescribed form certified
by a Medical Officer of the Government of Rajasthan as per medical standards.
The doctor will also have to certify that the candidate is medically fit
for Engineering / Architecture / Pharmacy profession.
Domicile Restrictions
Candidate seeking admission to Engineering / Architecture / Pharmacy
Colleges in Rajasthan would be eligible for admission only if he / she
fulfils any of the following conditions:
• The candidate
himself / herself or any of his / her natural parents (father / mother)
is a bonafide resident of Rajasthan
• Candidate has
studied continuously as a regular student in recognized educational institutions
in Rajasthan for the preceding three years upto and including the year
in which he/she has passed / appearing the qualifying examination (i.e.
X, XI and XII classes)
• Candidate is
a son/daughter of either a serving employee or of a retired employee of
any of Government of Rajasthan, Undertakings/ Corporations/ Improvement
Trusts/ Municipal Boards/Panchayat Samities / Co-operative Bodies duly
constituted by the Government of Rajasthan. or Statutory Bodies and Corporations
formed under the Indian Companies Act incorporated in Rajasthan.
• Candidate is
a son/daughter of an employee of any of the Universities in Rajasthan
or Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or Government Engineering Colleges
at Bhilwara, Kota, Ajmer and Bikaner, who has put in at least three years
service on the date of submission of application in any of the above bodies.
• Candidate is
a son/daughter of an employee of Central Government or Institutions of
the Central Government including Public Sector Undertakings or Corporations
and who is on the regular rolls and is serving in the State of Rajasthan
on the date of the application.
• Candidate is
a son/daughter of an employee of Rajasthan origin, serving in Defence/Central
Government services/Public Sector undertakings/National Institutes of
Government of India, who has put in at least three years service on the
last date for submission of application irrespective of his/her place
of posting provided a certificate is submitted by the employee from the
employer to this effect stating the State of origin and the home town
as given by him/her at the time of his/her entry of service.
