Eligibility |
: |
M.Sc. in one of the following subjects: Physics, Space Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Chemistry (Physical, Nuclear /Analytical), Geology, Geophysics, Ocean Sciences. Engineering students with M.E./M.Tech. (in Electronics and Communication or Computer Engineering or Information Technology or Mechanical Engineering) are also eligible to pursue the Ph.D. programme in Physical Sciences. They must have Physics and Mathematics at the B.Sc. level. A minimum of 60% marks at the Master’s level is required for all candidates

Written test, followed by personal interview for those who qualify in the written test. These will be held at the PRL main campus at Ahmedabad. Written test may be waived for candidates who have qualified with exceptionally good rank in any of the following: (i) JEST (ii) GATE (in Physics) (iii) UGC-CSIR NET
