India, being an agricultural nation most of the population live in rural
areas. Rural development has a significant impact on the economic growth
of the country. Developmental process without inclusion of rural India
would be asymmetrical and unsustainable. It is the duty of the educated
masses, especially qualified professionals in rural management to assist
the economically backward rural population in their process of development
so that the whole nation could achieve progress and prosperity. Hence
rural management as a career has great prospects in an agrarian economy
