| Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) Scholarship : Introduction
The Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) Scholarship for Higher Studies
was instituted by the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a public
sector undertaking of the Government of India. Bharat Petroleum Corporation
(BPCL) came into existence in August 1997 due to the renaming of Bharat
Refineries Limited.
Bharat Refineries Limited was in turn formed when the Government of India
took over the Burmah Shell Group of Companies in January 1976.
BPCL is passionate about the 'Generation Next', and thus supports the
students who are future of tomorrow with various education initiatives
at all levels. Bharat Petroleum Corporation awards scholarships for students
who have demonstrated all around brilliance and have a passion to achieve
excellence in their chosen field. The Bharat Petroleum Corporation Scholarships
for Higher Studies are awarded to Indian students who are keen to pursue
their post graduation studies either in India or abroad. BPCL award financial
grants to students who approach the organization for furthering their
educational plans by inviting applications for scholarships every year.
Value of Scholarships : Extent of scholarship awarded, i.e., full or
part amount, shall be at the sole discretion of Bharat Petroleum.
