The Department of Science and Technology of Govt. of India, The University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), The Daugherty Water for Food Institute (DWFI) and the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) provides Water Advanced Research and Innovation (WARI) Fellowship Program for students and scientists of India for pursuing world class research facilities at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the Daugherty Water for Food Institute in USA. The aim of the program is to promote research and capacity building in the area of water; encourage and motivate outstanding students to take up research as a career path; and pave way for the next generation scientists and technologists from India to interact with American peers, thus helping to build long-term R&D linkages and collaborations.

Internship Details

The Internship is for 5 fellows for a period of Minimum 3 months and up to 6 months

Internship includes

Air-fare (To be facilitated by IUSSTF Travel desk)
Monthly Stipend
Contingency allowance
Health insurance
Partial Housing allowance

Scholarship Description

The Fellowship is for 5 fellows for a period of Minimum 3 months and up to 12 months

The Fellowship includes

Health insurance
Partial Housing allowance
Conference allowance

Eligibility:

For Internship: Candidates must be Indian citizens pursuing a PhD in Water Science and Engineering at a recognized institution of higher education and learning in India.

For Fellowship: Candidates must be Indian citizens having PhD in Water Science and Engineering. Candidates must be able of doing independent research work and have published in internationally recognized academic journals.

Fellowship is open to the applicants who are working in the fields of Water resources, water chemistry and environmental engineering.

The applicant should be affiliated to a public funded R&D Lab/ S&T Institution (non-private)/ recognized Universities/Colleges in India.

Age Limit 

For Internship: Applicants must have 32 years of age as on 31st December 
For Fellowship: Applicants must have 40 years of age as on 31st December
