Institute
Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre is a premier R & D unit of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India and one of the constituent institutions of Homi Bhabha National Institute provides Junior Research Fellowship for pursuing Ph.D. program in Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI, deemed to be University). The fellowship is purely on temporary basis subject to fulfillment of HBNI norms. JRF/JRFs joined on selection will be eligible for this fellowship .
Research Areas
Accelerator Science & Technology, Nuclear Science (Theoretical and Experimental), Material Science, Computer Science & Technology and in other relevant areas.
Provisions
The fellowship is for maximum 5 years.
The Fellows will receive a stipend of Rs 25,000/-per month for the first two years and Rs 28,000/- p.m. for the rest and also receive a Contingency Grant of Rs.32, 000/- per year. If hostel facility is not allotted the fellow will get HRA per month and other facilities as admissible as per the Institution’s rules.
The candidates should have First Class Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Physics / Applied Physics from any recognized University/ Institute and qualified in NET / INSPIRE
The eligible candidates may send their applications in advance by e-mail to: daps@vecc.gov.in and they should appear in the WALK-IN INTERVIEW to be held on 23rd and 24th July, 2015 (Thursday & Friday) at 10 AM onwards at the Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Department of Atomic Energy, Sector-I, Block-AF, Bidhan Nagar, Kolkata –700064 (Near C.A.P. Camp Bus Stop).
The candidates should submit all original mark sheets, certificates, 2 recommendation letters issued by the faculty members of the institute last attended and other relevant testimonials along with the application (hand written or typed) containing full bio-data (results from H.S. onwards) at the time of the interview.
Outstation candidates will be reimbursed to and fro sleeper class train fare / bus fare as per extant rules.
