The Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical & Engineering Training (CIFNET) at Kochi/ Chennai/ Visakhapatnam offers career training to candidates in Vessel Navigator and Marine Fitter Trades under Craftsman Training Scheme of NCVT.
Courses : Vessel Navigator Course (VNC) / Marine Fitter Course (MFC)
Duration : Two years trade course ( 4 semester) with practical training on board fishing vessel out at sea and these Courses introduced by DGET, New Delhi under Craftsmen Training Scheme of NCVT
The courses are conducted at CIFNET Kochi/ Chennai/ Visakhapatnam
Qualification:
Pass in 10th Standard with 40% marks in Maths and Science separately and the candidates who are appearing for 10th exams during March, 2018 are also eligible.
Age: 16 to 20 yrs as on 1 st August 2018.Upper Age is relaxable to SC/ST by 5yrs
Intake capacity: VNC – 48, MFC – 48 (@ 16 seats each at Kochi, Chennai, Vizag)
Mode of Selection : All India basis Common Entrance Test (CET)
CET Centre: Kochi, Chennai, Vizag, Kolkata, Patna, Port Blair, Bhubaneswar
Note : The Selected candidates will be paid Rs.1500/- per month as stipend.
Application fee: Demand Draft for Rs. 300/- for General and Rs. 150/- for SC/ST
Admission Procedure :
The filled applications (in the prescribed forms) along with the attested copies of certificates in respect of qualification, including mark list of SSLC / 10th Standard Examination, Age, Experience (if any) and Community Certificate (in the case of SC/ST Candidates) and two self addressed (Unstamped) envelopes of size 25cms x 11cms. Should reach the Director, Central Institute of Fisheries, Nautical & Engineering Training, Post Box No.1724, Fine Arts Avenue, Kochi-682016. Applications which are received late/incomplete/without age certificate/SSLC Mark List/Community Certificate (for SC/ST only)/not in the prescribed forms, will not be considered.
