Important Dates

Submission of on-line application forms 7th March 2025
Last date of successful transaction of fee through Credit/Debit Card/NetBanking/UPI 7 March 2025 (up to 11:50 PM)

The Ministry of Human Resource development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) has established National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organisation for conducting efficient, transparent and international standard test in order to access the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions.

As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act -1956 and the Dentists Act-1948 and as amended from time to time, NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2024 (NEET (UG) - 2024) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Indian Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

The National Testing Agency will conduct the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test [(NEET (UG)] –2025 on 04 May 2025 from 02:00 P.M. to 05:20 P.M. throughout the country and 14 cities outside India in Pen & paper (offline) mode..

The seats are classified in the following categories:

  1. All India Quota Seats.
  2. State Government Quota Seats
  3. Central Institutions/ Universities/ Deemed Universities
  4. State/Management/ NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private University
  5. Central Pool Quota Seats

Requirement of Aadhar Number

Eligibility Criteria

  1.  He/she has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year of the Undergraduate Medical Course.
  2. Upper age limit: As per Letter No. U-11022/2/2022-UGMEB, dated 09 March 2022 received from National Medical Commission (NMC), Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) regarding the upper age limit, there is no upper age limit.
  3. Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) intending to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses in a foreign Medical/ Dental Institute also need to qualify for NEET (UG).

Eligibility of OCI cardholders for NEET (UG)

  1. Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons with Indian Origin and Foreign Nationals are eligible for admission in Medical/Dental/Ayurveda/Siddha/Unani/ Homeopathy Colleges subject to the rules and regulations framed by respective State Governments, Institutions and The Government of India, as the case may be.
  2. In compliance of the Hon’ble Supreme Court Order dated 03.02.2023 in WP No. 891 of 2021, OCI will be entitled to the rights and privileges which had been conferred on them earlier to the notification dated 04.03.2021.

Mode of Examination

Candidates are hereby informed that NEET (UG) – 2025 will be Single day single exam in PEN and PAPER mode as was conducted in last year 2024.

Medium of the Question Papers

Drawing from the National Education Policy (NEP), the NEET (UG) -2025 is being conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

Admission and Reservation

1. An All India merit list and All India Rank of the qualified candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test and candidates shall be admitted to MBBS/BDS courses from the said list only by following the Existing Reservation Policies. 

2. All admission to MBBS/BDS courses within in the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test.

3. All other existing eligibility criteria for admission to Medical/Dental Colleges shall be applicable as per Rules and Policies of the State/UT/Institution/University concerned. 

HOW TO APPLY

Candidates can apply ONLY ONLINE.

Online submission of application may be made by accessing the Board’s website https://neet.nta.nic.in/ Instructions for submitting online application and payment of fee are available on website.

Candidates may remit the fee in the following manner:

a. Through any Debit/Credit Card
b. Net Banking/UPIor
c . e-wallet of Common Service Centre (CSC)

The Information Bulletin containing detailed information of test, syllabus, eligibility criteria to appear/admission, reservation, examination fee, cities of examinations, State Code of eligibility, Age, etc. is available on website .
