University invites applications for admission to B.Ed. for January 2021 session through entrance test

The B.Ed. Programme o ffered by IGNOU is an innovative programme utilizing self instructional materials and information technology along with interactive personal contact programmes. The programme is essentially a judicious mix of theoretical and practical courses to develop in a practicing teacher appropriate knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes.

The B.Ed. Programme of IGNOU is recognized by the NCTE vide their Letter No. F3/DL-83/99/7807-7812 dated 31.05.1999 and is offered in NCTE approved B.Ed Training Colleges of Education in the country.

The B.Ed Programmes of IGNOU is recognized by the NCTE and is offered in NCTE approved Training Colleges in the country.

Eligibility

Candidates with :
(a) At least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master‘s Degree in Science/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity. Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualifications equivalent thereto,
And
(b) (i) Trained in-service teachers in elementary education,
OR
(ii) Candidates who have completed a NCTE recognized teacher educations programme through face-to-face mode.
The reservation and relaxation of 5% marks in minimum eligibility will be provided to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PWD candidates as per the rules of the Central Government.
The Reservation to Kashmiri Migrants and War-widow candidates will be provided as per University Rules.

Duration - 2 years

Medium of Instruction: English and Hindi

Age no bar

Selection - On merit basis on an Entrance test conducted all over the country

Admission Details

Student Handbook & Prospectus can be obtained from the Director (SSC), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi- 110068 or from any Regional Centre of IGNOU by sending a sum of Rs. 1050/- through a Demand Draft/IPO in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi/city of Regional Centre concerned or by paying Rs. 1000/- in cash at the respective sales counters. Please write your name and address on the back of the DD/IPO.

Application form and prospectus can also be downloaded from the website: www.ignou.ac.in and sent along with a DD/IPO for Rs. 1050/- in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi / city of Regional Centre concerned by Registered/ Speed Post to :
1. Registrar (SED), IGNOU Block No. 12, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068

The filled in entrance test application form may be sent by Registered/Speed post to the Regional Centre of the concerned city. Hall tickets will be uploaded on IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in for appearing in the Entrance Test.
