The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H) invites application for admission to four year B.Tech programs for the academic year 2018-19.
The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H) is an autonomous university founded in 1998. It was set up as a not-for-profit public private partnership (N-PPP) and is the first IIIT to be set up under this model in India.
All undergraduate admissions, including DASA (Direct admission for students abroad), to IIIT Hyderabad are by direct counseling using the process described in the website.
B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) (90 seats)
The programme is designed to create innovators and researchers. Students are given a strong foundation in CSE that includes electronics and hardware. Computer science courses are introduced in the early semesters, and non-IT courses in the later stages. This allows students to master the subject and carry out projects in the related subject starting from the second year. IT Workshops are specially designed courses meant to impart mastery in the use of the latest software technologies by the third semester. The courses in mathematics, sciences, engineering and humanities enable students to explore the wider applications of information technology.
B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) (60 seats)
The programme is designed to create innovators and researchers. Students are introduced to core courses that include programming, data structures, linear algebra, probability and random processes.ECE courses like electronics, signals and systems, communications, VLSI, and embedded systems are introduced in the early semesters. Electronics Workshops are specially designed courses intended to give students hands-on experience in electronic circuit design in the third and fourth semesters. Advanced courses and electives in later years enable students to specialize in communications, signal processing, robotics, VLSI, embedded systems, and other streams.
Class 12 or equivalent qualifying Examination with an aggregate of 60% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

Admissions to 4-year B.Tech programs in ECE and CSE will continue to be through JEE Mains as usual
(a) B. Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and
(b). B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE).
3. UGEE Mode : Admission to all research -based dual - degree programmes will be through a new mode called UGEE. Admission in this mode is based on an entrance examination followed by an interview. This admission mode is to identify students with a strong aptitude for research
Applicants who represented India at one of the four olympiads (International Olympiad on Informatics (IOI) / Science Olympiad (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Astronomy) / Mathematics Olympiad/
International Linguistics Olympiad (IOL) / Paninian Linguistics Olympiad (PLO) ) can apply for UGEE and will be called directly for an interview. i.e they do not have to write the UGEE entrance examination.

Applicants for SCA are required to appear for an entrance examination and interview. Up to 20 seats are available through SCA.
Financial assistance for needy students is being significantly enhanced from this year.
The entrance examination will be conducted in several centres across the country on April 18, 2018. The examination will be fully computer-based.
