The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H) invites application for admission to five year integrated undergraduate programs for all Dual Degree (B.Tech + MS Research) programs for the academic year 2022-23.
The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H) is an autonomous university founded in 1998. It was set up as a not-for-profit public private partnership (N-PPP) and is the first IIIT to be set up under this model in India.
Programs and seats
Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering and Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering by Research (CSD) (35 seats)
This is a five year integrated course offered to meritorious undergraduate students, at the end of the third year. Students enroll for extra courses at the end of their third year and complete the first year equivalent of the MS by Research programme, while in the final year of the undergraduate programme. Dual Degree option enables students to acquire two degrees – B Tech (Hons) and MS by Research by successfully defending MS thesis. The normal duration for dual degree programme is five years.
Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Master of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering by Research (ECD) (25 seats)
This is a five year integrated course offered to meritorious undergraduate students, at the end of the third year. Students enroll for extra courses at the end of their third year and complete the first year equivalent of the MS by Research programme, while in the final year of the undergraduate programme. Dual Degree option enables students to acquire two degrees – B Tech (Hons) and MS by Research by successfully defending MS thesis. The normal duration for dual degree programme is five years
Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Master of Science in Computational Linguistics by Research (CND) (15 seats)
Building Science Engineering program aims at educating engineers and doing research to build an environmentally sustainable habitat by integrating building architecture, structural, geotechnical, environment, building materials, building services, construction management and habitat design using spatial informatics.
Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Master of Science in Computational Natural Sciences by Research (CLD) (15 seats)
This program is about science - but it is not limited to the way science is traditionally practiced. This is also about computer science and IT - but it is not about creating IT professionals. It is about the science that is emerging in the interface of the information revolution and the challenges posed by some of the grave issues and problems in today's world. From newer ways of acquisition and management of multivariate data on complex natural systems to newer ways of deriving knowledge from the data using novel methods of data visualization and computational simulation, the world today needs a different breed of enabled scientists who are ready to navigate this interface. This program is for those who have the inner desire to take on these grand scientific challenges.
Eligibility
Class 12 or equivalent qualifying Examination with an aggregate of 60% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
Extrance Exam syllabus :
The test will have two parts : section 1 (subject proficiency test) and section 2 (research aptitute test)
Subject proficiency test : The syllabus is CBSE X1 and XII standard Physics/Maths/Chemistry.
Research aptitute test : The syllabus is also CBSE X1 and XII standard Physics/Maths/Chemistry. However, the test will be on critical and creative thinking.

Admission Process
Admissions will be based on performance in an entrance examination - Undergraduate Engineering Entrance Examination (UGEE) (fully computer based) and an interview, both conducted by IIIT-H. The exam is to be held on June 5, 2022 (Wednesday) across multiple cities. Shortlisted candidates from this exam will have to clear an interview to get admitted.
