The Admission to MSc Programme in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is through centralized counseling known as CCMN 2019 based on JAM score.
CCMN is a process of Centralized Counseling for M. Sc. / M. Sc. (Tech.) Admissions to most National Institute of Technology (NITs) and few Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) offering 2 year M.Sc. programme and is being organized by National Institute of Technology, Rourkela.
Candidates with valid JAM 2019 score are eligible to participate in Centralized Counselling for admission into M.Sc. and M.Sc. (Tech.) programme at 22 Participating Institutes (PIs) of CCMN 2019 [20 National Institute of Technology & 02 Centrally Funded Technical Institutes]. The candidates will only be permitted to apply for the programme in which they have the valid JAM 2018 Score. It is to be noted that the merit list of the registered candidates is solely based on JAM 2018 score. However in addition to the valid JAM 2018 score the candidates needs satisfy the common eligibility criteria for counselling, which is as follows.
CCMN 2019 mainly focuses on those candidates who have qualified JAM 2019 examination.
Only Qualified JAM 2019 candidates of All JAM Test papers are eligible to apply through this mode.
Candidates are required to pay a Registration Fee (RF) of Rs. 2000/- to participate in CCMN 2019.
Candidates should fill all desired choices in the order of preference and lock it whenever sure. Once choices are locked, the same cannot be reversed. If the candidate does not lock the choices, the last filled choices are locked on the last date mentioned by CCMN 2019.
Candidates must upload all the required documents as listed below:
- Valid qualified JAM 2019 Score Card
- Certificate showing Date of Birth (DOB Certificate [or] 10th Class Mark Sheet/Certificate)
- 12th Class Mark Sheet/Any other certificate issued by NIOS or any other competent authority showing the availability of Mathematics subject at Class 12 level.
- If results published: Qualifying Degree Marksheet showing the passing Class/Division/Percentage/CGPA [or]
- If results not published: Course Completion Certificate/ Provisional Certificate /Certificate in the format available in Annexure 6 (find sample file formats in Key Documents)
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC with NCL), wherever applicable (Please obtain a recently issued valid OBC-NCL certificate dated on or after 01.01.2019 [for OBC candidates only])
- PWD certificate, wherever applicable
- Photograph (Check for the specifications given under the heading: Photograph requirements)
- Signature (Check for the specifications given under the heading: Signature requirements)
Candidates have 2 payment options at State Bank Collect (SB Collect) & NEFT. Once payment done, the validation at our end takes 24 - 72 hours. (detailed information is available in 'Payment Procedure' tab in the website)
Candidates will obtain a validated Permanent Identifier (PID) after successful payment of RF which is required at all future transactions of CCMN 2019.
Upon successful registration and document upload the final stage of the online application leads to the Choice Filling portal which will make the application complete. Click the 'Candidates Corner' and kindly login with your PID and Password.
If the choices are locked once, there is NO option for edit in future.
Surrender can be done ONLINE with the OTP received to the registered mobile numbers. Therefore, candidates are required to provide proper mobile number and do not share the number/OTP at any instance to anyone. Mistakes arising due to such concerns is upon the responsibility of the candidate.
A candidate is advised to print the application form with the filled in choices. Sign the application form with choices for future reference and submission at the Admitting Institute along with Provisional Admission Letter (PAL) .
If a candidate wishes to surrender the allotment, the candidate should do it ONLINE and need NOT report to any PI. A student can surrender an allotment during the stipulated dates mentioned in the 'Key Dates' column in the website or mentioned in the later part of this brochure.
If a candidate cancels the allotment after generating PAL (Provisional Admission Letter) and/or after taking final admission at the allotted institute, the paid CPF is forfeited in full.
