Telangana Brahmin Samkshema Parishad (TBSP) will offer scholarships to poor Brahmin youth by applying till October 10. This was stated by Parishad Chairman and Government Advisor KV Ramana Chary along with S Venugopala Chary and Jwala Nrasimha Rao, at a press conference after holding a meeting on the parishad activities at Secretariat here.
In the meeting, they have taken a decision to offer financial assistance to the poor Brahmin students to pursue education and reimburse fees. It was decided to extend financial assistance with subsidy to them for small business of their choice such as dairy farm, mini tractors, power tillers, auto, kirana and others.
Mr Ramana Chary said that students who scored above 90 per cent in SSC will get Rs 7500, Inter above 80 per cent will get Rs 10,000, Degree above 70 per cent Rs 15,000 and above 70 per cent in post graduate Rs 20,000 and above 80 per cent in professional courses Rs 35,000.
The students should avail this opportunity, he said and appealed to the school headmasters and college principals and DEOs to take initiative to encourage the students to avail this facility online with caste, residential, nativity details, bank pass book and photos. To encourage them in business, the Parishad will also offer Rs 5 lakh with 75 per cent subsidy of Rs 3.75 lakh as start up grant, Rs 10 lakh investment will get them Rs 5 lakh start up grant, Rs 25 lakh will get 30 per cent subsidy.
