Deen Dayal Veterinary University will start B Tech in dairying and fisheries: Yogi

Two new courses in Dairying and Fisheries Bachelor of Technology will be started in the Deen Dayal Upadhyay University from next session, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said here on Sunday.

While inaugurating the statue of Deen Dayal in the varsity, Mr Adityanath said Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay always emphasised on the welfare of common people and both the Central, as well as state government, were following the path shown by the visionary leader. He said the BJP governments were committed to achieve the dream of Deen Dayal, of making India a progressive nation.

CM Yogi also inaugurated and laid foundation stone of development projects of more than Rs 400 crore. He said that the university was playing important role in promoting ideology of Pandit Upadhyay and cow research works of university makes it one of its kind.

Pandit Upadhyay always believed that western culture cannot be good for elevation of our country, CM Yogi said adding that with the massage of mutual tolerance he said that power gaining should not be the only goal of the political parties. Upadhyay always believed that politics should respect the feelings of common man and should work for welfare of all without any discrimination, he added.

"Without preserving Village, Cow and Ganga progress of our country cannot be ensured" he said adding that state government has taken initiative to stop cow smuggling and for cows protection in past eight months. He said the state government will provide every possible help for opening cow shelters but they have to arrange the fodder for cows. He also instructed concern officers to start B Tech courses in dairying and fisheries from next session in the varsity.
