Syllabus from KG to PG can change in UP: Deputy CM

Indicating about huge change in education system in state, Uttar Pradesh deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma here on Sunday said syllabus should be relevant in current scenario and employment focused.

Addressing the media persons here after review meeting of Vice-Chancellors and secondary and higher education officials of division, Mr Sharma said government has responsibility to provide employment after education and government was committed to achieve excellence in both sectors.

Dr Sharma said that 'research sections' were formed in every university to provide quality education and uplift the level of it. For employment after education 'employment generation sections' were formed and the system will be followed in every university of state, he pointed out.

Deputy CM said education department was preparing 'vision document' for necessary change in education system which will be introduced soon by UP government and after thorough discussions it would be implicated. Syllabus of KG to PG can be changed as per requirement he added.

Apart from that, Dr Sharma said, an App will be launched to link all skill development centres to government schools and university to provide employment to students after education. One center will be linked to15 educational institutions initially, he pointed out. These initiatives will help skilled talent to get employment in their own area, he added.

He said that positive results of cheating-free examinations have came and systems would be followed in future also.
