The eligibility criteria for appearing in the Common Entrance test must fulfill the following conditions:
Educational Qualification
The minimum academic qualification for admission through CET is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (40% for reserved categories) from a recognised Board of Secondary Education, J&K or an equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board or University.
Eligibility for MBBS, BDS, BVSC, Animal Husbandry, BUMS and BAMS Courses
Candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, BVSC, Animal Husbandry, BUMS and BAMS courses should have passed the HSC examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as elective subjects.
B.Sc Agriculture and B.Sc Forestry courses
A pass in HSC examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology as their elective subjects is must for
Bachelor of Engineering Courses
The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with English , Physics, Chemistry and Maths as their elective subjects in case of admission to Bachelor of Engineering
Domicile Restrictions
Candidate must be a permanent resident of the State Jammu & Kashmir.
Age Limit
The applicants who desirous to appear in the CET must be 17 years of age
on or before 31st of December of the year in which he / she applies for
entrance test for admission to MBBS, BDS, BUMS and BAMS courses. Meanwhile
candidate seeking admission to BUMS must be of 17 years old on or before
1st October of the year in which he / she takes entrance test for admission.
