The institute of Professional Studies established under an Educational Society 'Dr. D.C. Shastri Shiksha Sansthan.' Dr. D.C. Shastri Former Vice‑Chancellor of Meerut University was a renowned Educationist, Researcher & Social Activist. IPS is a non profit making autonomous institute to provide state‑of the‑art‑education in library science, computer field, media studies, Biotechnology & Paramedical Education. The institute is situated in the heart of the city.

There are well equipped computer labs, science and medical science labs, lecture rooms, conference hall and and a library in the institute to provide quality education. The teaching practice includes extensive use of audio visual aids, ‑five demonstration of professional projects. The library facilities provided by the institute are unparalled in terms of space and resources. The students are promoted to use the library extensively that covers wide range of topics. The use of Internet is also promoted amongst the students as a means of information tool.
