St. Xavier’s College of Education is a Christian Minority Institution established in 1988 and managed by the Patna Jesuits, members of the Society of Jesus. It is a co-educational Post Graduate institution for B.Ed & M.Ed. course with permanent recognition from the government of Bihar, is registered under the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi and UGC. It is affiliated to Magadh University. It is the aim of St. Xavier's College of Education that the students who take their training here become well formed guides who will accompany the young learner on his or her journey of becoming a fully human person.
