Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management is a premier technological institution fostering excellence in education, research & values towards inspiring and developing future torchbearers. The institute is in existence since a decade, being recognized by AICTE, Government of India, affiliated to VTU, Government of Karnataka, NAAC accredited with “A” Grade, recognized by the UGC and certified by IAO & ISO 9001-2008. The institute is located on the banks of river Nethravathi, within the city limits at a short distance from the port city of Mangaluru, known as a popular education hub.
Library: The Library being the most important part of the education system is the hub of all the activities in the Campus. Much care is taken to provide the best of the best facilities in the library to motivate the students and the faculty members to make use of the facilities. Library consist of central library and departmental libraries which collectively support the educational needs of all the programmes. The Library and information centre of the college has kept pace with emerging challenges, perhaps one of the best technical libraries in the state. The state of the art library stretches over 1050 square meters with the capacity to accommodate 400 students at a time and it is enabled with Wi-Fi technology and security systems with Closed Circuit Television System (CCTV).
Transportation: Sahyadri educational institution runs it’s own transport fleet catering service to students who commute daily. The busses run on all working days at different route.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: The Campus has a separate hostel section for girls and boys located within the premises under the management of Hostel Committee. The committee is headed by the Chief Warden, assisted by the two In-charge wardens, thereby looking after the day to day aspects of the hostel management. Each hostel has a Resident Warden who is responsible for the discipline, maintenance of building, allotment of rooms etc. The hostel staff consists of caretakers other attendants and maintenance staff.
