1 .	B.A. (Bachelor of Arts)
	Eligibility Applicant who has passed +2 examination from any recognized board/ body/ council / university in India or any other examination recognized by the Syndicate of Panjab Unviersity, Chandigarh as equivalent thereto is eligible to apply this course. The applicant has obtained at least 40% marks in the aggregate of the qualifying examination. Note : The students who have passed the examination from Bihar Intermediate Education Council, Patna (Bihar) are also eligible for admission to various courses at Panjab University, Chandigarh. Candidate who have passed +2 examination without English from a recognized Board/ Body/ Council / university are eligible to apply this course if they fulfill other requirements for admission such as minimum percentage of marks etc. Students who have passed +2 examination from recognized open schools are eligible for admission to B.A. (General) course only their certificate issued by the said open schools, shows "PASS" and they have obtained the requisite percentage marks.

2 .	B.Com. (Bachelor of Commerce)
	Eligibility The applicant, who has passed +2 examination from any recognized board/ university in India, with groups and subjects as detailed below, is eligible to apply B.Com - I year course. +2 Commerce group with at least 40% marks in the aggregate. +2 Humanities group with commerce, Economics and Mathematics, having secured at least 45% marks in the aggregate. +2 Humanities group with at least two subjects out of Commerce, Economics and Mathematics having secured at least 50% marks in the aggregate. +2 Humanities / Science / Technical / Agriculture group with at least 55% marks in the aggregate. +2 any group other than Commerce group, including Medical and Home Science Group and not opted for Commerce / Economics / Mathematics as a subject, having secured at least 60% marks in the aggregate. Any other examination recognized by the Panjab University as equivalent to (a) with requisite group / subjects and percentage of marks

3 .	B.Sc. Medical

6 .	M.A. English
	Eligibility The student must possess any one of the following qualifications : 1. B.A. with Honours in English. 2. Bachelor's degree in any faculty with at least 50% marks in the aggregate. 3. Diploma in Physical Education of Post Graduate Diploma in Library Science after having passed B.A. of B.Sc. 4. B.A. (Pass) in full subjects obtaining at least 45% marks in English as an Elective subject. 5. B.A. through English only regulations obtaining at least 45% marks in English as an Elective subject. 6. Master's degree in a subject other than English. 7. B.A. examination under Social Service regulations or under War Regulations and has subsequently passed in English in the B.A. examination obtaining at least 45% marks. 8. B.Sc. Honours School.

B.A. (Pass) in full subjects obtaining at least 45% marks in Sociology as an Elective subject. 5. Master's degree in a subject other than Sociology. 6.
