Raja Kishore Chandra Academy of Technology(Polytechnic) was commenced from the year 2010 by the Society of Adibasi Development Sanskrutik Sansad. A duly constituted Governing body having highly qualified manages the institute & experienced professionals included in the Management for very effective functioning of the Institution.
Library: The central library of RKCAT is located in the 1st floor of the Administrative Block of the institution. It comprises of a Stock Room, Reading Room, Periodical Section And Book Bank (Lending Library).The library has a collection of around 50,000 books including the text books and reference books for Polytechnic.The Library has also been procuring Magazines, Local & National Newspapers to keep the students and staff abreast of the information in and around the world. These magazines are basically meant for various competitive examinations conducted by various Govt. and Public sector organizations. To keep the job seekers at ease, the library procures.
Computer Lab: The air conditioned computer laboratory is fully networked with its required softwares as needed . The Internet facilities are provided to the students to know the World -Wide Web (WWW) and gaining knowledge on different issues in regular basis.The Internet connection is provided by TULIP through its 512kbps leased line to access data in faster manner and shows the differences how to work in the corporate firms with speed, accuracy and quality. The institute has well equipped computer laboratory with windows N.T based network supporting open ended systems.Latest Pentium4 systems are available.V.S.A.T linkage has been in the pipeline for extending communication to the scientific programmes.The Institution has reguisite application and system softwares with Anti-Virus package as per need of Lab.
Transportation: RKCAT maintains a fleet of 6 Institution buses plying on pre-scheduled timings to carry the students from various locations of nearby city to the campus.All students should make use of the college transport. This student friendly facility has made it possible to begin the classes in time and thereby helping the academic process continue seamlessly. This has also enabled the College to drive home the importance of punctuality and discipline among students.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: Secured, spacious and separate Hostel facilities are available for girls and boys within the campus. Accommodation is available for more that 200 boys and 150 girls on twin sharing basis. Trained personnel are present in the hostels to provide a sense of security in the hostels. In additions, trained and experienced wardens take care of immates. Here you will find a truly vibrant mix of people from all over the country.
