National Institute of Unani Medicine

National Institute of Unani Medicine (NIUM) Bangalore is as an autonomous organization under the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India working since 2004. This Institute is being developed as a model of post graduate,teaching,training and research in Unani System of Medicine.

Library : Library possesses a collection of more than 12000 books comprising on Unani System of Medicine as well as on contemporary medical sciences like Allopathy, Ayurved, Yoga & Naturopathy, Siddha, and Homeopathy, besides a number of dictionaries and encyclopedias are also available. The books are classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) Scheme. Notable strengths of library is its holding some of the Unani classical books, contemporary medical literature and 16 journals with 256 journals through HELINET Consortium (online format), and also globally accessing through broadband internet facility.
