The Achutha Menon Centre for Health Science Studies (AMCHSS) is recognized as a centre of excellence for public health. The centre focuses on research in the areas of non-communicable diseases, gender and health, health policy and management. AMCHSS conducts a Master of Public Health (MPH), Diploma in public health (DPH), PhD, diploma, and short courses in public health.
Students have access to a state-of-the-art computer laboratory equipped with e-mail and Internet facilities, video projector (LCD), overhead projector and slide projector for their class presentations and a good professional, research and reference library on various disciplines with a major collection of books and journals on public health. Students can avail the facility of the in-house and updated documentation centre in addition to the institute central library. The state of art seminar hall helps in the conduct of academic presentations. The fully set field area helps to bring field realities into academic class room discussions.
Hostel Facility
Students will be provided with furnished single room with attached bathroom in the hostel. Free internet facilities (both ethernet and WIFI) are provided in the hostel so that students can browse net on their laptops/personal computers. Students can also avail the indoor and outdoor sports facilities in the campus.
