Sant Gopichand Education and walfare society was formed by a visionary group of professionals in 1978 for educational upliftment of rural folks of Baghpat. The society made a humble beginning in opening an intermediate college in a tiny village, Ahera near Baghpat town.The college has the proud privilege of having four imposing magnificent buildings in three pockets, designed and constructed according to “VAASTU” considerations with modern architectural criteria. Different buildings are meant to accommodate laboratories & Instrumentation wing, classrooms & Administrative wing for Pharmacy. The total covered area is about 1lacSq ft. with proper fencing and boundary walls adequately separated from each other.
Library: The 175 sq.m Library at Shri Gopichand College is a great resource for faculty and students. The library not only offers many educational resources like subject database, journals, magazines, news papers etc. but also provides a comfortable environment where students may read and study. The physical facilities in the library are excellent where adequate lights and fans are provided. The library is divided into two parts where one part is provided with adequate space for reading and other part is provided as stalking area in which huge collection books and journals are housed The large reading room in the library also provides computer terminals with internet facilities so that student can search online catalogs, database, information about research work etc. The library is also equipped with photocopier for photocopying library material for students.
