M.D.F. College of Education, Sagar is affiliated with Kuvempu University. College offers Bachelor degree course in the field of Education and Managed by Malanad Development Foundation. It is housed in a well equipped building as per the NCTE norms. It is situated in Jog road, Sagar. Teaching staff: Highly qualified and experienced principal and lectures are appointed to take all the academic care of the student teachers.
Computer Lab: Computer lab has 20 computers with qualified computer instructor to facilitate the computer Education. CD’s of windows 98 NCTE CD’s concerned with education, CD’s of 6th class to 10th class syllabus of science, social studies subjects are available to enhance the knowledge of computer literacy.
Laboratories: Consists of modern audio visual equipment like O.H.P, slide projector, Film stripe projector, Tape records, T.V with V.C.R and LCD, soft wares like slides, transparencies, audio and video cassettes, interactive C.D’ are available exclusively for students.
Classrooms: The college has spacious classrooms with smart board, multipurpose hall, seminar hall, library with reading room, separate room for different laboratories, separate toilet facilities with 24 hrs water and electricity facilities.
Library: Our library is in charge of a full time qualified librarian. There are 5,640 books including reference books for B. Ed course. About 30 Journals and periodicals pertaining to education help in enhancing the knowledge of students.
Hostel Facility
Malnad Development Foundation is running two Hostels one for boys & another for girls. Smt. Gouribai Nagappa Pai Malkodkar Memorial Hostel for Girls & Smt. Padmavathibai Govinda Pai Malkodkar Memorial Hostel for Boys. These hostels are very near to college and located in most secured place in Sagar.
