Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women

Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women is having an academic heritage of being the first self-financing Arts and Science College for women affiliated to the Bharathiar University in the Coimbatore region. Since its inception in the year 1991, the college has been the most sought after institution catering to the higher educational needs of young women The Institution is managed by the SNR Sons Charitable Trust, one of the leading Pioneer Philanthropists of Coimbatore. The College was started by the Trust to fulfill the long felt need for an institution of higher learning to fulfill the holistic educational needs required for the empowerment of women.

Laboratories: The state-of-the-art laboratory facilities are available at the campus with LAN network facility for all the six Computer Science Labs with a total of 288 Computers and 12 printers. The Office, Departments and Library are provided with 37 computers and 22 printers. The Campus Internet Traffic is monitored through NF-3000 Unified Security Gateway Appliance and User Management Hotspot (HS5200) for any possible spam, virus and intrusion detection. The college provides wi-fi facility with 15 Mbps for access to online information in labs for the staffs and students in the campus. Additionally the D-Link Wi-fi facility with 10 Mbps is collectively provided for all the departments and library.
Library: The college has a 3300 sq.ft well stacked library with a seating capacity of over 70 members.The library is well equipped with the latest editions of books and journals in the fields of Arts, Science, Computer Science and Social Science etc. The library is fully computerized with barcoding technology and OPAC facility. It is well stacked with collection of 22,192 Books, 1,269 back-volumes of journals, 1,371 Non-Book materials,9 Newspapers and 92 periodicals.
Transport: The College has a fleet of buses that ply from important points in and around Coimbatore to the campus and back to facilitate comfortable commuting for both students and staff. The buses cover major areas around the city
 
 Hostel Facility
The college has a modern and elegantly furnished hostel capable of accommodating more than 400 students. The hostel has spacious and well-ventilated rooms with a host of facilities that include a TV room, outdoor games, purified drinking water, safety locker and generators for power backup. The hostel offers 24 hours security services and 24 hours Ambulance and hospital facility.

Deserving students with excellent academic records are given educational scholarships and fee concessions. Eligible Students can avail the following Scholarships; Post matric Scholarship Minority Scholarship Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship
