Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women is having an academic heritage of being the first self-financing Arts and Science College for women affiliated to the Bharathiar University in the Coimbatore region. Since its inception in the year 1991, the college has been the most sought after institution catering to the higher educational needs of young women The Institution is managed by the SNR Sons Charitable Trust, one of the leading Pioneer Philanthropists of Coimbatore. Ph.D. Selectionof research candidates are on the basis of merit, performance in CET conducted by Bharathiar University and interview. Students who have cleared common eligibility tests conducted by state agencies such as SET and national agencies such as UGC NET/UGC-CSIR-NET/GATE are exempted from CET for admission into Ph.D Programmes.
