SET is a mandatory written test for the admission process for
the undergraduate programmes of these Symbiosis institutes, except for
Symbiosis instititute of Technology(SIT) and Symbiosis Institute of
Health Sciences (SIHS). However, it is only the first step. Each
Symbiosis institute has its independent selection process
Institutes,
Programmes & Eligibility :
- Symbiosis Law School [SLS]- Pune and Noida
Course : BA LLB/ BBA LLB (5 Years)
Eligibility :12th (10+2) in any stream or
its equivalent with minimum 50 %. Students who have appeared for their
H.S.C finals and awaiting for results are also eligible to apply
subjected to their passing it in the same attempt and should not be
placed in compartment.
- Symbiosis Institute of Technology.[SIT]
Course : B.Tech.Computer Science, Electronics and
Telecommunication, Information Technology, Mechanical, Civil
Eligibility :10+2 or equivalent from any statutory
board with 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
(PCM).
- Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and
Research (SICSR), Pune
Course : BCA/ BBA (IT) (3 Years)
Eligibility : BCA - XII standard
examination pass from Science stream or government diploma in
Engineering / Technology with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC / ST
category candidates)
BBA (IT) - XII standard examination pass from any stream or equivalent
diploma in Engineering / Technology with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC
/ ST category candidates)
- Symbiosis Centre for Management
Studies-Undergraduate (SCMSUG), Pune and Noida
Course : BBA (3 Years)
Eligibility : XII pass from any branch with
a minimum of 50% marks. Students who have passed in compartments are
not eligible for admission.
- SIMC-UG: Symbiosis
Institute of Media & Communication
Course : B.M.S. (3 Years)
Eligibility : 10+2
in any discipline from any recognized Board /Council / University with
a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) aggregate marks, or equivalent grades,
are eligible to seek admission.
- Symbiosis School of
Economics
Course : B.Sc. (Economics) (3 Years)
Eligibility : XII pass from any branch
with minimum 50% marks for the general category and 45% for students of
SC and ST category.
- Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID), Pune
Course : BDes (4 Years)
Eligibility : Candidates must have passed their 10+2 (any stream) or
equivalent with minimum of 50% marks obtained in the final examination.
- Symbiosis Institute of Health Science (SIHS), Pune
Course : BSc (MT) (3 Years)
Eligibility : Std. XII Pass with any two of
the following subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology,
Biochemistry & Microbiology or equivalent as decided by competent
authority.
SET Centers : Symbiosis Entrance Test is
conducted in 17 cities. A candidate may choose any one city. The centre
and its address will be informed to the candidate on the Admit Card

Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolhapur, Kolkata, Kochi, Lucknow,

Admission Procedure :
A candidate aspiring to pursue an undergraduate
programme at Symbiosis needs to follow the 3 stages mentioned below:
Stage-1: SET Test
- Register online at www.set-test.org

You may register for one paper in the
morning viz. Law or Engineering or Health
Sciences and one paper in the afternoon session viz. General
or Design.
For Engineering and Health Sciences, if a candidate wishes
to offer scores other than SET, he/she need not register for SET and
apply directly to the concerned institute.

You need to upload a scanned photograph
of yours at the time of registration.

Follow the instructions for payment of
Test fee of Rs. 1500/- on the SET website. This includes charges for a
prospectus of the Undergraduate Programmes at Symbiosis International
University.

Candidates applying to Symbiosis
Institute of Technology must register at SET even if they offer JEE or
AIEEE scores. They need to pay the prospectus fee of Rs. 500/-

Print "Admit Card"
directly from the SET website from 26 April 2011 to May 7 2011.

Bring the Admit Card and a Photo
Identity to the Test Center. It will be authenticated during the Test.
(Candidates shall preserve the authenticated Admit Card till the
Admission processes of the desired Symbiosis Institutes are over. If
the Admit card is lost, no duplicate Admit Card will be issued.)

Appear for the Test.
Stage-2: Apply online to the desired SIU's constituent
institutes.

The SET website ( www.set-test.org )
allows a facility to directly apply online to an institute.

Candidates may also apply from the
institute/s website.

To apply to an institute, a candidate
must register for the relevant SET paper. For example, to apply to
Symbiosis Law School, register for Law paper at SET.

Candidates applying to Symbiosis
Institute of Technology (SIT) or Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences
(SIHS) with other than SET-2011 score should refer to the institute
websites and apply..
Stage-3: Attend further selection process of the
chosen institutes, if called.

Each institute has its own cutoff, as
mentioned in the prospectus.

The institutes will announce a short
list for attending further selection process.

The individual institute as per their
schedules will announce short List & Waiting Lists.
