Raghubar lays foundation stone for setting 3 medical colleges in Jharkhand

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today laid foundation stones for establishments of medical colleges in Palamu, Dumka and Hazaribagh districts of the state.

Addressing the functions organised at these three venues Mr Das said that after a gap of 45 years on one day foundation stone has been laid for setting up of medical colleges in Palamu, Dumka and Hazaribagh and soon three more medical colleges would be set up in Bokaro, Chaibasa and Koderma. " Apart from this we are also working to improve health care facilities at the rural areas and are providing 329 ambulances for the pancahayts which would be available at 108," he said adding to make sure that students from Jharkhand do not go out of the state for doing their MBBS these medical colleges would be a great boon.

Mr Das said that apart from these medical colleges, engineering colleges, ITI and polytechnic colleges would also be opened in the state. He said the day was historic for Jharkhand for which Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Health Minister J P Nadda needed to be thanked who have helped to develop the health sector in the state.

He said for development of infrastructure of these medical colleges the share of expenditure between the central and the state government would be in the ratio of 60:40 while the building construction and appointment of teaching faculty and other non teaching posts would also be completed in stipulated timeframe.

Mr Das said whatever promises would be made by the state government would be completed on time as providing quality education and better health care facilities were a priority for the state government. Expressing concern over migration from the state he said that via Global Investors Summit focus has been accorded for setting the medium, small and rural industries so that unemployment problem can be addressed. He said that national and international investors have showed their interest in the area of agriculture, food processing, textiles, higher education and healthcare.
