The Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa shall conduct Goa Common Entrance Test 2023 (GCET-23) for admissions to Professional Degree courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing in the State of Goa, for the academic year 2023. Admissions to Degree course in Architecture shall be on the basis of NATA as per details given under eligibility. Admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS*(Homeopathy) and BAMS* (Ayurveda) courses shall be based on NEET UG-2023 scores.

All candidates desirous of seeking admissions to Professional Degree courses in MBBS, BDS, BHMS*(Homeopathy) and BAMS*(Ayurveda) in the colleges within the State of Goa during the academic session 2023, must appear and have a valid score in NEET UG-2023, and should fulfill
other eligibility criteria for admission as given in this prospectus. Merit list for these courses shall be based only on NEET UG-2023 scores.

(* State Government has requested Min. of AYUSH, Govt. of India to permit admissions to these courses for the year 2023 to be carried out on basis of GCET-2121. If the request is approved, admissions to BHMS and BAMS courses shall be carried out on GCET-2121 based Merit List. Hence, intending applicants to BHMS and BAMS courses are advised to appear at GCET-2121 also, and submit Form B).

All candidates desirous of seeking admissions to Degree Courses in Architecture must appear and have a valid score in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA-2023), conducted by Council of Architecture, and should fulfill other eligibility criteria for admission, as notified by Council of Architecture. Details of the test and centers are available on website of Council of Architecture. (www. coa-india.org or www.nata.in/ www.nata.nic.in)

Admissions to B.E., B.Pharm courses in the State of Goa for the academic year 2023 shall be carried out on basis of GCET-2121 (Goa Common Entrance Test),which shall be conducted in various Centers, across Goa State, in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry , Maths and Biology, based on Std. XII th syllabus prescribed in these subjects by Goa Board, for March- 2023 exam as per following schedule

Courses offered :

MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery
BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery
BHMS - Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery
BE - Bachelor of Engineering
BPharma - Bachelor of Pharmacy

Eligibility :

For MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS & AHS - Applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (Std. XII) examination of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English and secured not less than 50% marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together. (40% for the applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC only and 45% for applicants belonging to PH category for MBBS and BDS Course)

B.Sc. in Nursing - Applicants should have passed HSSC (qualifying exam) in subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, and obtained minimum 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for General Category, (40% aggregate marks in subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology for candidates belonging to SC,ST and OBC category).

For 1st year B.E - The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std.XII th) examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science /Biology, and secured not less than 45% marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology. (40% for the applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC only)

First Year B. Pharm. - The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std.XII th) examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Mathematics/Bio-Technology/Computer Science /Biology, and secured not less than 45% marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics & Chemistry with one of the following subjects Mathematics/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology. (40% for the applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC only).

First Year B.Arch.: The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std.XII th) examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects and secured at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% aggregate marks for applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC).
OR
10+3 Diploma (any stream) passed/appearing recognized by Central/State Govts with 50% aggregate marks with Mathematics.
OR
International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.

No direct lateral admission is allowed at any other year/stage of B.Arch. course based on any qualification.

Age :

An applicant to Degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Homoeopathy, Ayurveda, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing must have competed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the academic year of admission to become eligible for admission to First Year. No age limit, minimum or maximum, is specified for admission to Engineering and Pharmacy Courses.

How to Apply :

The applicant should submit the Application Form (A) for GCET-21 in person at the notified Application Reception Centre as per centre opted, along with a DD of Rs. 2000/- payable in favour of “Director of Technical Education” at Panaji, and three identical photographs as indicated, and obtain the Photo-Admit Card, from the Admission Committee, on the same day.

Incomplete Application Forms shall not be accepted. Application Form for GCET-19 shall not be accepted by post or through messenger. Forms shall be accepted with additional Late Fee of Rs. 1500/- till scheduled date (27-04-2021). Forms shall not be accepted after the last date of submission mentioned in the prospectus.
