Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna has been established under the Chanakya National Law University Act, 2006 (Bihar Act No. 24 of 2006) and has been included in section 2(f) and section 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956.
Five Year B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and BBA LL.B. (Hons.) Programme
Eligibility : The integrated 5-year B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A.,
LL.B. (Hons.) programs are open to students who have completed their 12 years of
school education and have joined CNLU after clearing the CLAT examination. These
courses offer integrated degrees of bachelor of arts/bachelor of business
administration and law and entail studying compulsory subjects, honours subjects
and electives.
Selection
Out of total 138 seats 69 seats are allotted for B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) course and 69 seats are allotted to B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) course. Allotment of seats in these courses will be subject to choice-cum-merit in the CLAT-2024 examination. CLAT-2024 students who have passed +2 Exam from Commerce stream and want to take admission in our University will be admitted only in B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) CourseAdmission Procedure
Direct admission to foreign nationals
There are five seats for the Foreign Nationals and those who wish to apply for B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) or B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) may apply directly to the University in the prescribed format as given on the university website, i.e., www.cnlu.ac.in. Their merit shall be finalized on the basis of their percentage of marks in 10+2 / Intermediate or its equivalent. In case of any grading system, the equivalent percentage shall be taken into consideration. However, they shall fulfil other eligibility criteria of CLAT-2024. The Minimum percentage of marks in 10+2 / Intermediate or its equivalent for admission to B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) or B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) course will be 45%. In case of tie, preference shall be given to higher percentage of 10th marks. In case of further tie, preference shall be given to the one with higher age. Further tie, if any, shall be done by drawing a lot.
Candidates who wish to apply under Foreign Nationals shall submit the duly filled in application form which can be downloaded from our website www.cnlu.ac.in with all supporting documents along with the one time non-refundable fee of `7,500/- or its equivalent by way of DD drawn in favour of Registrar, Chanakya National Law University, Patna payable at Patna. The dates shall be announced later on our website. Selected candidates shall complete the admission process by paying required fees in full on the scheduled dates to be announced in the University website: www.cnlu.ac.in
Note: Unfilled seats of the Foreign Nationals shall not be filled in by any other category and they shall remain vacant
