Details of NDA & NA Exam (II) 2025
An Examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 14th September, 2025 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 145th Course, and for the 106th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2025.
Corrigendum to the Notice No. 10/2024-NDA-II, seeking application for National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2025, scheduled to be held on 14.09.2025
In compliance with the Honourable Supreme Court of India's interim direction
permitting women candidates to take part in the National Defence Academy and
Naval Academy Examination (II), 2025 filed by Kush Kalra Vs. UoI & Others,
the Union Public Service
Commission has decided to open the online portal of application on its website
(https://upsc.gov.in/) for this Examination to enable the unmarried women
candidates ONLY, who are otherwise eligible in terms of nationality, age,
marital status, educational qualification, etc. as per the Notice for the said
Examination (No. 10/2021-NDA-II), which was published on 05/28/2025 and is
currently available on the Commission's website. Physical standards and number
of vacancies for women candidates would be notified after receipt from Govt. of
India (Ministry of Defence) in due course of time. No
application will be accepted beyond the prescribed last date/time, i.e.,
06.17.2025 (till 6:00 P.M) or through any mode other than the aforesaid online
mode. The Examination is scheduled to be held on 09.14.2025. Women candidates
are not required to pay fee for their application for this Examination.
The admission of the women candidates in the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2025 will remain provisional and subject to the final outcome of the WP (C). No.1416/2020 or such other order(s) as may be passed by the Honourable Supreme Court and action by the Government of India in the matter.
Note :
"If a candidate, of any gender other than female, applies then the candidate will be liable to penal action in terms of Rule 7 of the Rules for this Examination including debarment for 10 years from appearing at all future Examinations/Recruitments of the UPSC ".
Applicants should note that there will be a ceiling on the number of candidates allotted to each of the Centres. Allotment of Centres will be on the 'first-apply-first allot' basis, and once the capacity of a particular Centre is attained, the same will be frozen. Applicants are, thus, advised that they may apply early so that they could get a Centre of their choice.
Conditions of Eligibility :
(a) Nationality : A candidate must either be :
(b) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status : Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd January, 2002 and not later than 1st January, 2005 are eligible.
(c) Educational Qualifications :
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.
(d) Physical Standards :
Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2025
(e) A candidate who has resigned or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any of the training academics of Armed Forces is not eligible to apply. More details
Examination Centers:
The Examination will be held at the following Centres :
Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dharwad, Dispur, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Port Blair, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur and Vishakhapatnam.
Applicants should note that there will be a ceiling on the number of candidates allotted to each of the centres except Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata and Nagpur. Allotment of Centres will be on the first-apply-first-allot basis and once the capacity of a particular centre is attained, the same will be frozen. Applicants, who cannot get a centre of their choice due to ceiling, will be required to choose a Centre from the remaining ones. Applicants are, thus, advised that they may apply early so that they could get a Centre of their choice.
N.B. : Notwithstanding the aforesaid provision, Commission reserves the right to change the Centres at their discretion if the situation demands. Candidates admitted to the examination will be informed of the time table and place or places of examination. Candidates should note that no request for change of centre will be granted.
How to Apply :
Candidates are required to apply online by using the website https://upsc.gov.in/ Brief instructions for filling up the online Application Form have been given in the official website.
The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admit Card will be made available on the UPSC website (https://upsc.gov.in/ ) for being downloaded by candidates. No Admit Card will be sent by post. All the applicants are required to provide valid & active e-mail id while filling up online application form as the Commission may use electronic mode for contacting them.
