Admission to the B.A LLB & LL.M. courses in NALSAR University of Law are made strictly on merit, based on a Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) to be conducted together by NLSIU-Bangalore, NALSAR-Hyderabad, NLIU-Bhopal, NUJS-Kolkata, NLU-Jodhpur, HNLU-Raipur and GNLU-Ahmedabad.

The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University of Law is a fully residential University engaged in teaching and promoting research in law and its allied disciplines. It was established in 1998. It conducts courses in Law at the graduate, post graduate and doctoral levels. The University Campus is located in a 50 acre site near Shameerpet Lake, 28 kms away from the city. The University has signed an MoU with Griffith University Australia, The University of Western Ontario- Canada, The University of New South Wales-Australia for student exchange programmes and faculty exchange programmes and with The Law School, King's College-London, University of Warwick-U.K, University of Oklahoma-USA, Santa Clara University-USA, Southern Cross University -Australia for exchange of faculty and also for co-operative research.

 •  Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy)
 •  Proximate Education- One Year Postgraduate Diploma programmes in :
       One Year postgraduate Diploma in Patent laws
       One Year Postgraduate Diploma in Media law
       One Year Postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Laws
       One Year Postgraduate Diploma in International Humanitarian Law
