Toyama Prefecture provides International Student Prefectural Scholarship for Indian Students to study and research in a graduate school program in Toyama Prefecture in Japan.

Toyama Prefecture due to its high-quality workforce and abundance of electricity and water, a variety of industries have gathered together to form one of the strongest industrial areas on the Japan Sea side of the country. In particular, Toyama is working to develop its biotechnology industry utilizing its 300 year-old tradition of medicine and is supporting the robot, IT and deep seawater related industries.

Toyama Prefecture promotes research into the identification of cultural assets as important cultural assets or historical sites, in addition to making and supporting initiatives involved in the promotion of these sites inside and outside of Toyama. To help to nurture Japan's next generation of leaders, Toyama provides students with a solid educational foundation which aims to promote individual talents, creativity, and liveliness.

Scholarship Value 

There is 1 scholarship available for 1 participant.

Within the limits of the budget, the scholarship provides for the following expenses, from the day of arrival in Japan until the day of conclusion of studies.

Eligibility

In principle, the applicant should be available to come to Japan by the day determined by the Governor between September and October of current year.

After completion of the master's course, the international student must return to Andhra Pradesh quickly, contribute to the development of Andhra Pradesh in the technological field and exchanges between both regions.

During their studies, the applicant will participate in an internship at the Toyama Prefecture International Affairs Division about once a week.

The applicant may not receive any other scholarship or grants.

The applicant must submit a complete set of the following documents to the Toyama Prefecture International Affairs Division, before the determined deadline. No submitted documents will be returned.
(a) Application Form, with a picture attached
(b) Field of Study and Study Plan / Placement Preference Form
(c) Written Pledge
(d) Certificate of Health
(e) Statements of Purpose
(f) Transcript with Final Grades of All Graduated Universities
(g) Final Diploma of Graduated University or Certificate of Degree Completion (If not available at the time of application, can be substituted for official documents from the university proving the tentative graduation date)
(h) Letter of Recommendation from Graduated University’s Dean or Supervising Professor
(i) Graduation Thesis Outline (Only applicable to applicants that have written such a thesis)
(j) Academic Aptitude Certificate (Transcript of GPAT, GATE, or other academic aptitude tests results)
(k) Passport Copy
