Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) provides Shallu Jindal Outstanding Women Scholarships for women from financially weaker section for pursuing 3 year LL.B. program, five year B.A./B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program and a one year LL.M. program.

The aim of the scholarship is to nurture, encourage and support outstanding women to enter the field of law.  Award of Scholarship/Studentship will be on the basis of an independent selection process.

This scholarship is mainly  for providing financial assistance to the students who come from a financially weaker section but have great possibilities to thrive through their academics.

In 2009, JGU began its first academic session with the establishment of India's first global law school. Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) is recognised by the Bar Council of India. To achieve the vision of providing globalized education in India, JGLS as one of the top law schools in Delhi NCR, has appointed its faculty members with international educational background, scholarship, experience and orientation.

Every year, Merit cum Means Scholarship applications are invited from students and reviewed by the scholarship committee during a series of frequent meetings.

Eligibility

Selection Process

 Award of Scholarship/Studentship will be based on a student’s performance in LSAT-India  Exam and Scholarship policy of the University as per rules.

Value of Scholarship:

Two students from the three year LL.B. programme, two students from the five year B.A./B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and two students from the one year LL.M. programme will be awarded this scholarship .

An award of 50% of one year programme fee will be given to each student. Studentships ranging from 10% to 75% of tuition fees are awarded on merit-cum-means basis to a substantial number of selected students as per university rules.

Essay and Letter of Reference are not required to be submitted along with the application form. LSAT—India percentile score and parental income-limit remain the main criteria for awarding scholarships and studentships at the Law School.

Documents Required

Any student seeking Scholarship/Studentship/Fee concession must submit ITR of both the parents/guardian for being  

The annual income specified by the applicants in the Application form for Award of Scholarships, Fellowships and Fee Concessions shall be the same as is computed for income tax purposes. The proof in support of income level shall be as under:

1. For Government employees Form-16 under I.T. Act 1961 issued by the head of department.
2. For non-government employees Certificate of the employer along with Form-16 under I.T. Act 1961.
3. For Self-employed a copy of the latest return of income field with the Income Tax Department or sales tax return.
4. Any other government documents specifying the level of income.
5. Below Poverty Line certificate, issued by Government.
