Modern Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET) - www.mietcollege.org - was established in 2010 at Bandel, approximately an hour’s drive from Kolkata city. Situated amidst verdant abundance and natural setting of semi urbanity, we constantly strive to impart a process of learning to our students the primary tenet of which - as we believe- is not a mere degree; it is the complete progression of a human mind towards a future that will enable her or him to strive towards sustained excellence and contribute to the nation and the global human race.
Library: The institute boasts of a well equipped library, which besides books, journals and newspapers, houses a 100-seat reading room. The current repertoire is 17500+ books (1400 titles) for B. Tech and 3500+ books (200 titles) for Diploma.
Transportation: MIET operates its own fleet of buses and cars for the ease of travel of students, parents, staff, faculty, and guests from Bandel Railway station to the college and back. These ply at regular intervals during morning and evening hours under strict supervision. Particular attention is paid to cleanliness and maintenance of the fleet to ensure trouble-free commute.
Anti-Ragging Cell: Modern Institute of Engineering & Technology is RAGGING FREE. The College management is against ragging and deeply committed to preventing incidents leading to the same. There are individuals and bodies who are deputed to weed out students who are prone to such habits and strict disciplinary actions are ensured against them.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: Hostel facility for gentlemen is available inside the campus while the ladies hostel is situated outside the campus at an extremely secure location. Apart from general guards, personal security is also deployed at both hostels.
