Ganapati Foundation Trust established “Ganapati Institute of Engineering & Technology(GIET Polytechnic)”, in the year 2009 at Gopinathpur, Mathasahi, Bhairpur, Jagatpur, Cuttack-754200 considering the large demand for quality Diploma Engineers by the Industries. This is at par with the National policy of the Government of India & the Industrial Policy Resolution of Government of Orissa.
The Polytechnic has been established with a defined Vision & Mission .The Institution through value addition courses shall prepare the new breed of Engineers in this competitive age to match the basic requirement of Industries.
Library: The institute has an ultra modern library in the heart of the academic complex open from dawn to dusk for the benefit of the students. The library has a collection of about 4,000 books including about 10 periodicals and magazine. The collection is housed subject wise under three major stream. It has also referral collection, online database, video tapes, CDs for the faculty members as well as students.
Computer Labs: The computer lab of the institute is equipped with the latest hardware and software packages. Besides the students also have access to important database on industries, consultants and placement agencies through internet facility. The students can have access for foreign library reference through Internet facility.
Transportation: GIET has its own fleet of buses which caters to the transport needs of the student & staffs.
Canteen: The institute has a well managed canteen which is the refreshment center for the students.The canteen caters to the needs our students.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities AvailableExcellent and separate facilities for Boys and Girls are available. The hostel superintendents make sure that the students stay comfortably and securely in the Hostel. They maintain discipline and assure them ''A Home Away from Home" which is very conducive for technical studies. Utmost care is taken to provide good sanitation, hygienic surrounding and medical facilities along with reasonably priced messing facility. The students seeking accommodation in the hostel must apply at the time of admission. All boarders shall have to abide by the rules and regulations of the hostel and shall have to sign an undertaking to that effect. Ragging in any form inside the hostel and Polytechnic premises is strictly prohibited.
