Sri Ramakrishna Polytechnic College was started in the year 1996 by S.N.R Son's Charitable, Medical, Educational and Cultural Trust in Vattamalaipalayam.The trust was founded in the year 1970 in order to fulfill the dreams of the great philantherapist and the man of vision Sri.S.N.Rangasamy Naidu, by his four son's Late S.N.R.Chinnasamy Naidu , Late Prof.P.R.Ramasamy Naidu(Former Principal, GCT) , Sri.R.Doraisamy Naidu & Dr.R.Venkatesalu Naidu. Winner of Best Polytechnic College Award from Institution of Engineers-India for IE chapter for three consecutive years (2008-2009, 2009-2010, & 2010-2011)
